About us

Active Living Physiotherapy was established in 2022 with the goal of helping patients optimize their recovery and prevent injuries. We believe in empowering patients to take an active role in their own care, and our goal is to help them achieve long-term wellness and mobility. We work closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific needs, goals, and lifestyle. Whether you are recovering from surgery, dealing with chronic pain, or looking to optimize your athletic performance, we are here to help you reach your full potential.

Alex obtained a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Queen's University in 2018. After completing her degree, she worked at the Creston Hospital in acute care before opening her own clinic, Active Living Physiotherapy. Currently, Alex works four days a week at Interior Health in addition to her clinic work. Since graduating, she has been pursuing advanced training in Manual therapy and obtained her certification in neuroanatomical acupuncture. What to expect

Please phone 250-402-4110 or email activelivingphysiocreston@gmail.com to book your first appointment.  Phone calls and emails are typically returned within 48 business hours on a first-called, first-served basis. There is about a 2-week waiting period prior to your first appointment, although you may request to be on the short-notice cancellation list. The clinic is open for appointments Wednesdays 4-7 pm and Fridays 5:30 am-4 pm. After-hour appointments are available for emergencies on a limited basis.

On your first visit, you will be requested to discuss your history and current concerns. Please bring any relevant test results; do not email test results. Wear comfortable clothes that will allow for proper evaluation of the area in question.

Payment is expected on the day of service. We do not directly bill insurance companies; we will provide you with a receipt so you can seek reimbursement if you are eligible. We accept credit, debit, or cash.

Your initial appointment will consist of an assessment and will last 45-60 minutes. Your subsequent appointments will last 30 minutes, although you will have the option of booking a 45-minute extended follow-up if you have complex or multiple issues. If it has been more than a year since your last appointment or if you have a new concern, you will need to book an assessment again.
